Can't type in QTextEdit when the mouse is not on the window

  • Hi all,

We're developing an application where the GUI is made of 3 dock windows and a QGraphicsScene serves as central widget. One of the dock windows has QTextEdit for parameter input. We noticed that whenever the mouse is not over the dock window containing the QTextEdit, we can't type in anything although it still has focus.

Any idea how to fix this? Heard it might be caused by the window manager (we're on Linux btw), but there must surely be a workaround since this behavior does not happen on other applications built on Qt we use.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Any ideas or explanation anyone?
