Installing Qt5.1.1 and QtCreator for multiple users on WinXP (32bit)
-
I have to deploy Qt5 onto a pool of computers running WinXP.
All users on these computers should be able to use the Creator.
However, after installing it as Administrator it is only visible to the admin,
which means for other users there is no start menu entry or desktop icon.
If I navigate to the .exe and start it as unpriviledged user it comes up but gets stuck on the
welcome screen. (In the lower left I can see a progress bar and the words "Registriere Defi..." maybe: Registering Definitions?)So, how do I correctly install Qt5 and QtCreator for all users on the system?
Note:
I am using the installer "Qt 5.1.1 for Windows 32-bit (VS 2010, OpenGL, 504 MB) " -
Ok, after using the dedicated Creator installer I can at least start it without problems. However, there is still no startmenu entry or desktop icon in the other accounts and also the file type association does not work.

Please file a bug report at https://bugreports.qt-project.org/ for the installer. Looks like that is not supported.

Ok I have posted the bugreport here:
