Performance on QT 4.7.4 on an embedded arm 200 MHz
-
Hi,
Does anyone know what I could expect from the QT performance on an embedded platform running Linux.
I know that you are not able to comment on my specific system, but does anyone have an idea of system with not graphics processor and a 200 MHz arm processor is able to handle a framework like Qt. Do you have any links to any articles that have done some testing of the Qt framework
In my system I have no graphics processor, only the arm 200 MHz. On the screen (800 x 480) I have 4 gauge that should update at a minimum of 10 frames/s. With this system I see a CPU load of 100 %.

Hi and welcome to devnet,
What do you mean by no graphic processor ? If you have a screen showing something then you have a gpu somewhere (doesn't mean it's a 3D powerhouse). What would your system be ?
I've used Qt on low power systems clocked at 180MHz and had nice performance (I wasn't using any 3D, just widgets using linuxfb). It all depends on what processing you are doing and how you update your GUI.
