Project already open??

Qt 1.x.x
I launch Qt, using File->Open Previous project I choose a project, I then switch to Edit Mode, but instead of seeing the Editor I get a blank page. If I try to open the file again I get the below error message
Failed to open project
Failed opening project 'D:\Documents\dev\qt\qtTest\qtTest.pro': Project already open
OK
What am I doing wrong?
