QDoubleSpinBox prevent cursor from jumping on setting a prefix

Due to some rules I have to set a + in front of positive numbers in the QDoubleSpinBox. Unfortunately after setting the prefix the cursor is put right after the prefix. This means I have to reset the cursor if I try to enter e. g. 12.
How can I prevent the cursor from jumping or is there a way to obtain the text input of the spin box to position the cursor?
