Qt Creator crashing when trying to add a picture
Guest last edited by
I hope I am posting this in the right section. Because I am relatively new to Qt (though having at least a tiny bit C++ experience) I tried to familiarize myself with all the tools.
I followed a small walkthrough for a basic application with Qt-Quick 2 (this one in particular: http://qt-project.org/doc/qtcreator-2.8/creator-qml-application.html)
However the Qt-Creator application seems to crash after I try to drag and drop the picture from resources to the main view.
It does not only happen with the default picture used in the example but any picture I tried yet.
(German for "qtcreator.exe has stopped working, there was a problem blabla, search for solution online etc.")
No other error message what so ever. I couldn't find a log file either (well maybe I just didn't look right).
I am using Windows 8 Enterprise 64bit Version. I already tried reinstalling the whole thing and cleaning out the registry but no avail.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
EDIT: Aha, after some further inspection I discovered this: https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-9129?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel
The solution provided by the submitter is really working. Still it is a bit uncomfortable. Any updates on this bug yet?
