How to write an article (a wiki page) in different languages?
-
Hello,
I wondered how i can write a wiki page in different languages. I've seen some pages which have tabs for selecting between languages.
Any help would be appreciated. -
There is no means to do this, the wiki software does not support it. Neither does it create tabs.
What you've seen are manually added links to the different translation pages.
There were some discussions about how to achieve better usability for both the readers and the writers of the wiki, e.g.:
"Prefix to threads about translations":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2866/
"filter by language and group translations by title":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2822/and some more.

I think, currently most used pattern for names is:
base (english page)
base_lang (translated page)and a link in all pages, with the currentlanguage in bold, all other languages as links.

Yes, you can find very good guidelines at "WikiHelp":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/WikiHelp . I suggest you to read the article about "Wiki syntax":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/WikiSyntax and about "Tagging":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Tagging .
The prefix voting's 'result' is to have a [wiki:lang_code] (for example: [wiki:hu] for Hungarian) for threads if you want to discuss your translation in the forum.
Feel free to ask you have any other question :)
