Does qmake variable QMAKE_LFLAGS_SONAME not work with QtCreator 2.7 on OSX?
in the "docs":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/mac-differences.html for OSX deployment there is a paragraph mentioning the ??QMAKE_LFLAGS_SONAME?? variable.
bq. If you use qmake and Makefiles, use the QMAKE_LFLAGS_SONAME setting:
@QMAKE_LFLAGS_SONAME = -Wl,-install_name,@executable_path/../Frameworks/@
It doesn't change anything for me, bit that's maybe I am using it wrong. What bugs me most that nothing from the settings is in the ??Makefile??. Cleaned, ran ??qmake?? but nothing appears there.
Am I doing it wrong, have I wrong understanding/expectations of what should happen or shall I file a bug?
Nothing to do with Qt Creator, that. If it does not work, then you've just found a bug in qmake :)
You can use macdeployqt or install_name_tool instead. Or maybe just add it to QMAKE_LFLAGS?
Already helped myself with macdeployqt and install_name_tool, but the questions remains: is it really a bug?
