      I created a suggestion: "QTWEBSITE-148":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-148

An enhanced search for the QtDevNet would be nice. Up to now I can look for tags or content. The content is always searched by main topic (forum, wiki, ...).
What I would suggest is give more possibilities for the search:

      • search in one sub forum (e.g. beta, desktop, ...)
      • enable search options (all words, one word, and, or, ...)

This would help searching the dev net for needed content.

Some of those use-cases can be solved with the advanced forum search: http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/search (link on the main forum page)

The main site search (http://developer.qt.nokia.com/search, or top right) is by Google, so normal Google tricks work. http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=136861

Tag search currently doesn't support any AND OR NOT notation. We're considering making that though, more here: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-135

              Hi marius,

thanks for the info. I didn't know the advanced search, I always used the global one.

              • That means, all needed features (advanced search for forum, where I really missed it) exists.
              • combination in "google style" is possible
              • Tag search is already adressesd in Jira.
