      I didn't know where to post an introduction, so I figured this would be the most appropriate place to put it.

      I'm new to C++ programming, and I quite enjoy using Qt's framework. It makes me feel at home.

      Howeveer, I am not new to programming. I have been coding for about 8 years now, but I've been using archaic VB6 to ages now. I'm tossing the old language. I had a pretty successful game project (mmo) in vb, so I know basic design practice. I just need to learn how to do it in C++, and more specifically with Qt's framework, so I can go off to creating video games across multiple platforms.

      I am pretty chill. Friendly person. I like to read, and I love to obtain new knowledge. I'll be snooping around here a lot for tips, and I might even ask for help from time to time.

      My current project (with the basic C++/Qt knowledge I have) could barely be called a skeleton for a game. I'm currently trying to figure out slots and signals (or rather, be more comfortable with them) and networking all in one. The RAD-style GUI creator is epic. That's one thing that kept me from learning C++ is the lack of a framework that actually enabled quick GUI creation. Once I learned about Qt, it was over; I needed to learn C++.

      I am a software engineering student. I plan to study at Georgia Tech a little later on; at the moment, I'm studying at CTC (many of you may not know what that is, but I really don't feel like explaining myself, lol).

      Anyhow, I've been going on for too long. I hope to fit into this community nice and snug. :)

      Good morning, everyone! lol.

                        Welcome, I am new to Qt too
                        Although I don't have so much programming experiences as you have
                        I do know a good place to start with learning c++

                        "good c++ books...":http://stackoverflow.com/questions/388242/the-definitive-c-book-guide-and-list

                        But there are no decent Qt5 book on the market yet, neither a pay one
                        or free books.
