[SOLVED] Qt Creator is very long to start
-
Hello,
I have some problems with the last version of Qt Creator. Since I updated it from the online installer, it takes a lot of time to start. Moreover, when I try to apply settings, it takes a lot of time too.
It seems to read and write lots of time the file qbs.ini (in the Qt Creator settings directory), because the size of the file constantly changes during the start or the application of the settings.
My version of Qt Creator is the 3.0.1 under Windows 7.
Thanks for your help
Fabien

Hi chipsman, just an idea: Perhaps you've installed all variants of compilers (mingw, vs20xx)?
-
No, I have just Mingw installed and the gcc compiler for the version of Qt for android.
Do you really think that could be a problem? What would be the reason?
-
Then it cannot be the cause for your problem - I had a bad performance when I tried to install on Win7 for the first time and it was caused by that and solved after installing only the mingw-version.
In your case you should try to analyse what's done in the settings and - worst case - install again. -
What if you disable qbs plugin.
Does it improve performance? -
Does disabling your antivirus help?
-
Sorry for delay. I install Qt Creator again and the problem doesn't happen any more.
I don't know the reason but my problem is solved.
Thank for your answers.
