Force qmake runing

  • Hi People,

can somebody tell me, how can I force the running of the qmake? I would like to run qmake before every make process independently of the project changes.

    Regards,
    Norbert

  • Moderators

    @
    qmake
    make
    @

... :) You probably mean in Qt Creator, though. I don't know the answer there.

  • There is in Build menu Run qmake command. This is manual run. But i think there must be the way run it automatically on every project build.

  • Yes, it runs automaticaly before the make process, but it doesn't make anything if doesn't change anything. But I want to it doesn't check the time stamps or every changes.

    Norbert

  • You could wrap everything in a little Makefile. Something like this.

    Makefile

    Makefile.qmake:
    <tab>qmake -o $@ project.pro
    <tab>${MAKE} Makefile.qmake ${MAKECMDGOALS}

(you might want to set phony and default targets as well).

    A+
    Paul
