Open ID login with gmail account
-
Hi, all before i send this problem in the bug-tracer i want understand if is only my problem or if is a true bug.
When i log in the dev network i use open id with gmail account, my account user have a point '.' in the name and when i click login, the new page of google account complete the user with my username without that '.'Example:
user: test.test@gmail.com -> login -> on gmail page the user become testtest@gmail.com
If i login without the '.' google says there is an error in account ( yes, is true )
So i have to put a '.' manually every time i login to the devnet forum.
Is my problem or a bug?

GMail has an odd behaviour with respec to it's usernames: "http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=10313":http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=10313
Sometimes you may receive a message sent to an address that looks like yours but has a different number or arrangement of periods. While we know it might be unnerving if you think someone else's mail is being routed to your account, don't worry: both of these addresses are yours.
Gmail doesn't recognize dots as characters within usernames, you can add or remove the dots from a Gmail address without changing the actual destination address; they'll all go to your inbox, and only yours.
So it's maybe Google's fault, but I can't say for sure, because I don't use my gmail as OpenID.

Mmm imhò i dont know this hint.
But google says that test.test@gmail.com and testtest@gmail.com are the same but maybe this is not the true when the username is use at the login.
GMail has an odd behaviour with respec to it's usernames: "http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=10313":http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=10313
