[SOLVED] Window style
-
I want to change the layout of my application so that it doesn't look like a classic window but like an individual style, like it is used e.g. with Visual Studio (picture).

How is this possible with Qt?

Take a look at "this":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/21548 thread.
There is also a sample ( for styling frame). But performance is terrible ( at least on my test project). I noticed it when resizing window or adding/removing docks. For styling, widgets, take a look at "this":http://doc.qt.digia.com/qt/stylesheet-examples.html.

My window turns partially black, but I don't know how to create a window that has a title bar looking like the one of visual studio...

Turns out partially black where? Which OS, Qt version?
You cannot override default window style. You can only hide ( frameless window hint), and make everything your own ( label for title, push/tool buttons for maximize, minimize, close etc...).
"This":https://rapidshare.com/#!download|853p1|4247249615|FramesWithShadow.zip|12|0|0 zip file provided in thread that I posted previously has everything you need to create custom title bar, border, border shadow... Only restyle it with css (qss).

Excellent - it works with the zip package. I think I used the wrong code earlier. Thanks!

I'm glad you got it working :) .
Please mark thread as solved.Regards,
