    QT 4.8.3 Installation error

      I installed QT 4.8.3 on my machine, I followed the instructions in the link:
      http://doc.qt.digia.com/stable/install-win.html
      in step 4: build the Qt library I found error tell me that virtual memory too low
      my window XP service Pack2
      RAM: 700 MB
      HARDDisk: 80 GB
      I need to upgrade my RAM?

        Windows XP is telling you that you don't have enough memory. The problem is not related to Qt.

        You can try quitting all other applications and unneeded background services to free up some memory... but 700MB is quite low. If that still doesn't work, you need more RAM.

          Don't know if it works: try to set more virtual memory, which comes from your hard disk. This should work since it use some of your hard disk as your RAM.

            Hello.
            Why do you build Qt your self instead of using pre-compiled binaries? You may obtain 'em "here":http://qt-project.org/downloads.
