[Suggestion] Show new posts to the same thread when running 'Preview Post'
-
When previewing my post I cannot see if it will be hopelessly outdated. Using the preview function does not show any new posts behind the scenes. I have to use another browser tab, which isn't such easy because there is no link to the thread itself (most time, exception: threads over multiple pages).

I think preview post was just meant to show how it would look when posted. I usually refresh the page and then make a post.
-
Here once we post they show the updated posts but no indications as you mentioned.
But notifications would help for sure.

I didn't realize that a browser refresh keeps my input intact.

Yeah, um, that's not working here! Google Chrome 8.
If I right click->reload or hit F5, I lose all my input.
Which browsers and reload methods?Weird thing is if I close the browser or force Chrome to die and then start it again, my input is still there.
No it does not. I refresh it before inputing any text.
I am also using chrome and I didn't mean to imply that the input text remains intact. What I do is usually refresh before making any input.

Thats good.
But ideally I thought a refresh should update with the content completely from server. In chrome it happens so.
