Qt porting on Apple's IOS
-
Hello Group,
I am very much curious to know porting of Qt 5 Beta on IOS.
Thanks to Bogdan for developing Qt Necessitas that helps in porting Qt application on Android. There's a very good forum for Necessitas, where I can ask lot of questions and get the answers and with forum help I successully deployed and see Qt app running on Android.
Now I am interested to run same Qt app on IOS but unfortunately I don't find any forum actively supporting/working on Qt port for IOS.
I could only locate following link http://mediator-software.com but not sure how to proceed after the download.Someone please guide me with steps for running Qt app on IOS like something similar to Necessitas.

Hello Chris,
Configuirng Qt IOS setup is little confusing to me. It is not as straight forward as Qt Android.
I have read below link but still I feel information is not enough for beginner like me to do the set up.

Hi Mohan,
there is also a README file contained in the UIKit folder which provides more details on the setup process.
However, I'm afraid if you are an iOS beginner, I think getting everything of your application's Qt code to run properly on iOS is too time-consuming and you would be better off writing it in Obj-C, until iOS is properly supported by Qt :(
If you can wait for a while, this is also an option: "we":http://v-play.net will provide a plugin system which makes it easy to mix iOS Obj-C and native C++ code from a Qt perspective. However, our release estimate for this feature is Q1-13.
Cheers,
Chris
