Remote sync?
-
Does anyone know any libraries to look at to do remote synchronization?
E.g. keeping some data in device and in internet server. (Maybe json, rest, or some other easy web interface ) -
If you are using both c++ client and server than something like rest will be ok for you. Maybe xml format too. Try to be more specific on what you need, it will help others to help you.

What kind of data do you want to sync?

In this case data "rows" are just bunch of strings like contacts (name, number + some more info). Any number of rows allowed.[quote author="Denis Kormalev" date="1291280393"]If you are using both c++ client and server than something like rest will be ok for you. Maybe xml format too. I try to explain a bit my mission. There will be many phones and only one Server which will share the same data. Phone(s) can generate more "rows" which will be pushed to server and then distributed to other phones. Data "rows" can be also deleted and it will also happed to everyplace.
My current idea / plan is to do: C++ Phone client (http with rest protocol) which is also handling data in phone. Server side maybe will be PHP based webserver offering rest interface, or something like that. Data transfer is happening when phones are pulling data. (QML based ui, but it out of this post)
I was just hoping to see if someone have already build some REST client with QT or maybe some library to do some data syncing with server... to have something to start with. Yes, I have just started to learn Qt.

el2ro, if you plan to use QML for displaying data then maybe using xml format will be something right for you. You can use XmlListModel with remote source and QML magic will do all work for you.
