QtCreator: Align continuation lines with spaces not working
-
Hello. I'm using QtCreator 2.4.1 on Ubuntu 10.04. I have the following settings:
Tab policy: Tabs only
Tab size: 3
Indent size: 3
Align continuation lines: With spaces
Enable automatic indentation: TrueIn the code below, a space is denoted by a period, and a tab is denoted by "-->".
Using the above settings, I get code that looks like this:
@
void tmp(int parameter1, int parameter2,
-->-->-->int parameter3)
{
-->a = b +
-->-->.c;
-->cout << "hello " <<
-->-->-->.."world!" <<
-->-->-->..endl;
}
@I would expect code like this:
@
void tmp(int parameter1, int parameter2,
.........int parameter3)
{
-->a = b +
-->....c;
-->cout << "hello " <<
-->........"world!" <<
-->........endl;
}
@Are my expectations incorrect, or is this a bug?
I appreciate any help!

It's been several days... anybody? Should I report this as a bug?

I reported the bug, which indeed seems to be a bug, and there is a workaround for now. Check it out: https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-7994
