QtQuick 2 Collision Detection

  • Ive searched around, and know i can implement collision detection manually by checking the position of items etc in javascript, and this is actually what i have done in the past. But...i found out that in Qt4, Qdeclarativeitem inherits from QGrphicsItem, and it is faster to call ::collidingItems(). In qt5/qtquick2 this is no longer the case. is there anything similar, or do i have to go back to manually checking or using something like box2d (which would possibly be overkill)
