    Hello.

    How can I prevent Qt Creator 2.4.1 from replacing tabs with spaces?

    I have chosen 'Tabs only' on 'Tab policy' but Qt Creator still has this annoying behaviour :-/

      This could be due to a bug. Have a look at https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-6952?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel and try Vesa Laakso's workaround

      Or, you could upgrade to Qt Creator 2.5.2 which doesn't seem to have this bug

        I've updated to Qt Creator 2.5.2 and by trying different setting I've got it working somehow.

        But now it replaces tabs with spaces again and I can't figure out which setting I have to change.

        This is really driving me nuts.

        Can somebody help me?

          Two places to look in:

          Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> Behaviour -> Tabs and Indentation
          Tools -> Options -> C++ -> Code Styles -> Edit

            Setting "Tabs Only" in Tools -> Options -> C++ -> Code Styles -> Edit seems to solve the problem.

            Thank you very much.
