No printers listed in QPrintDialog

We're running into an issue with QPrintDialog on windows 64 bits: none of the printers on the system show up. Printing to the default printer works just fine, as does selecting a printer using QPrintDialog on 32 bits systems (both windows 7).
I could not find any mention of an existing issue in the documentation, JIRA or the net in general.
I'd appreciate any hints that point me in the direction of what might be wrong.
