and Qt 4.3.0 or 4.3.1 not working on VS2010.
what to do?I am trying to built old code on visual studio 2010 with Qt static build.

welcome to devnet
You can use also MSVC 2005 on windows 7. There should be no problem. I am using MSVC 2005 with Qt 4.7.x. I guess you may even continue with your old build of Qt 4.3.0, if you really want to do that.
For MSVC 2010 you may use the "pre-build libs,":http://releases.qt-project.org/qt4/source/qt-win-opensource-4.8.2-vs2010.exe but those are dynamic. Those are recent.
Probably you should start with this "wiki page":http://qt-project.org/wiki/Support_for_Windows

I am getting following error when opening VS2005 on windows 7 .
Visual Studio 2005 has a known compatibility issue with this version of windows.

I do not remember what messages I have gotten when I initially installed msvc 2005 on my windows 7 64 bit machine. However, it is working. There is a service pack you need. That I remember for sure. Here is some "information":http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa948853.aspx . There you find also a reference to the service pack required.
