I'm in the process of translating my project into French, but when I use Linguist, I can't figure out how to add any accented characters like é. I couldn't find anything in the documentation about this.

Just type them in the text... Qt Linguist supports unicode, so there should be no problem.

I normally type these characters by using the ASCII codes. For example, I get é by holding the Alt key and typing "130". This doesn't work in Linguist.

I find it easiest to switch keyboard layout in your OS. I usually use US/International with dead keys. Then, you can type é by typing 'e.
