      With a period (.), the problem is the opposite. That makes it impossible to write proper sentences that end with a hyperlink.

        My first thought was that the period is the problem, but introducing a blank did not help.
        But you are right there you have the opposite problem. And that is definitely more than just a bit of nuisance.
