Role of horizontal, vertical spacer?

Hi everyone, I usually design form follow some tutorials, sometimes they request using horizontal or vertical spacer but I don't know its role?

A spacer adds free space (no surprise there I guess;-).

Just experiment: Move the spacers around, replace them with other widgets or just remove them. The tutorials are meant to be played with:-) You will need to experiment to understand layouting in Qt.
