<![CDATA[Unable to comment / create bug reports on Jira]]>I just keep getting "You are not authorised to perform this operation. Please log in.", even though I'm logged in and SSO authorised with this account. Can't comment on anything either.

I'm trying to follow up on a fix that was just merged in:

I need to either add a comment to the ticket or raise a new ticket because I believe I'm getting similar crashes that won't have been fixed by the code that was just merged in a few hours ago:

have you tried registering with a custom domain? I believe that might have been the root cause of my issue until a jira admin approved it

If, by “custom domain”, you refer to the domain after the local part of an e-mail address, and merely mean an unusual one, I'm utilising @rokejulianlockhart.addy.io, so that's plausible. However, for me, the solution was as that QTWEBSITE bug describes; manually initiate SSO correlation for my Atlassian account at QTJIRA.

I don't think I saw a hash identifier anywhere

It'd be in a small box in the bottom-right, so although I'll believe you, you might have missed it; I almost did.

I presume that you've been provided with a hash identifer, for reference?

Let's find that out without sharing email addresses in public.
Yesterday evening, we couldn't find your email address in Jira at all.
Are you using exactly the same address in Jira as you are using here?

Registered on qt-project.atlassian.net to try and raise / comment on a bug
After logging in there, I was asked to link a Qt account for SSO purposes
I used a Qt account that I made a couple of months ago (I believe to install a runtime component, I can't remember). It has the same e-mail as the Jira account
The Qt account that I made a few months ago is a free account so I'm not sure if that makes a difference - are members of the public expected to be able to use the Jira like this?
My account is now stuck in a state of being able to log in but not being able to do anything due to permissions issues

I don't believe I've changed username. The accounts are only a few months old
