Qt building from source
-
I've already happen to build Qt from source, but lost my backup with instructions
So I just rebuild according to url below
https://doc.qt.io/qt-6/linux-building.html
but there is no Qt Creator
should it be installed upon process or I should Install it separately?j@j:~/dev/qt-build$ ls /usr/local/Qt-6.9.2/bin/
androiddeployqt instancer qdbuscpp2xml qmlformat qmltime qtpaths
androiddeployqt6 lconvert qdbusviewer qmllint qopcuaxmldatatypes2cpp qtpaths6
androidtestrunner linguist qdbusxml2cpp qmlls qqem qtplugininfo
assistant lrelease qdistancefieldgenerator qmlplugindump qsb shadergen
balsam lupdate qmake qmlpreview qt-cmake shapegen
balsamui materialeditor qmake6 qmlprofiler qt-cmake-create svgtoqml

No, building and installing Qt from source using the official instructions does not install Qt Creator. Qt Creator (the IDE) is a completely separate project and is not part of the Qt library/toolchain sources or installation process.
What You GetBuilding Qt from source provides the Qt libraries (core, gui, widgets, etc.), tools (designer, assistant, linguist, qmake, qt-cmake), and utilities. The executables found in your bin directory match the expected result from a source build, and none are the Qt Creator IDE.To Install Qt Creator
System package: Install via package manager: text sudo apt install qtcreator Qt Online Installer/AppImage: Download the standalone IDE from the official Qt website for the latest version. After installation, configure Qt Creator to use your custom Qt build by specifying the qmake or CMake toolchain inside its preferences.Summary:
Expect only the core Qt tools, not Qt Creator, when building from source—the IDE must be obtained and set up separately. Please confirm and I gonna install it with apt

I can confirm this. Installing from apt should work fine.
