GammaRay and secondary windows

I occasionally use GammaRay to debug issues with QML but am having an issue when trying to use it to inspect separate
Windows that are not the main application window in the "Quick Scenes" view.I actually asked a question about this approximately two years ago and answered it myself. Then, the issue was that I simply had not noticed the combo at the top of the "Quick Scenes" view that allows one to select the window to inspect. Having realised that, this was then working for me at that time.
However, what I am finding now is that, if I change the selection, the view remains on the main window and does not switch to the window I have selected in the dropdown. My setup has changed in the meantime. In the last two years I have switched from Qt 5.9.6 to Qt 5.15.10 and have updated GammaRay and rebuilt it against the newer Qt version.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to make this work?
