Excel Groups with Qt
-
Hello,
i would like to know if there's any Qt's tool which allows to group some elements of a table like a spreadsheet.
I give you an example of what i mean :
-
No, there is not. Not by default. If you need an advanced grid component, perhaps you should look at "QIcsTable":http://www.ics.com/products/qt/qicstable/ (commercial offering). I'm not sure if it supports what you need though.
-
Ok, thanks you. I think i will try to implement such a tool with QPushButton perhaps.
-
I'd like to see you do that. I don't get how a QPushButton is going to help you, but perhaps I just don't understand the problem you're trying to solve. However, if you do, please share your solution!

I'm working on a spreadsheet and i need a tool which group some rows but it doesn't exist in Qt so i try to find a solution with other tools. I made a fast test with a QPushButton, it's why i speak about this :
Grouper.h :
@class Grouper : public QPushButton
{
Q_OBJECT
public:
Grouper(QTableWidget *table, int firstRow, int lastRow, QWidget *parent = 0);
signals:public slots:
void grouper();
protected:
QTableWidget *table;
int firstRow;
int lastRow;
bool isGrouped;
};@The slot :
@void Grouper::grouper()
{
for(int i = firstRow; i < lastRow; i++)
{
if(table->isRowHidden(i))
table->setRowHidden(i,false);
else
table->setRowHidden(i,true);}
}@

Doing that is not acceptable. Please give people at least a week to respond before kicking your topic up like this.

Sorry, it will not happen again but it's really important
