Bus Error on DM365 while executing simpledecoration

I am able to run the framebuffer example with no issues. When I execute my QT app or the simpledecoration app, the system pauses for a second or so and then exits with a "Bus error". What is this error?

Thank you very much. New to Linux but starting to love the power given to the developer. I guess this means that I have a cross-compile problem. If the sample from QT is showing this error also, at least I know the source code is correct but the compile settings are wrong. This will give me a direction now. Thanks!
