    I am new to QT and I installed latest version of Qt Design Studio. I tried for en entire working day to go through the first tutorial and I faced multiple problems and I am giving up.

    1. When I create a QT Quick UI file, I get a "Line 0: No kit is set" or something to that effect and I cannot work with the file.

    2. When I create a project and make changes to the files and then try to save those changes, I get Exceptions, "Error rewriting document".

    And so many other errors and bugs. Is this an actual commercial product that people are using in real life or am I missing the point here? Should I have used older versions? This looks a half-finished student project to me that was abandoned after the professor gave them a B- and everybody forgot about it altogether.

      Yes. If you have a commercial licence from The Qt Company you can reach out to them and express your dissatisfaction. For real world usage you can search the web and see how many people and what projects are using it, there are a large number of both.

      For your first point at least, how and what Kit did you set?

        @Kaveh-Nematipour
        Adding to @JonB: Design Studio is widely used and normally runs very stable. I think we have to return to your kit. That looks broken and could be the root cause for other troubles you experience.

          I am Sorry,that you have such a bad experience using Qt Design Studio. It looks like something in your setup went seriously wrong.
          Can you report your issue here: https://bugreports.qt.io/projects/QDS?

          My first guess is that you did not create a project.
