    Hi,

I have been using Qt for over 10 years now on Windows and Linux and have now started looking at compiling an existing application under OSX. Environment is OSX 10.7 (Lion), and I have downloaded the latest Xcode 4.3.1 and installed that together with the command line tools.

Now the question is what flavour of Qt to install: the 4.8.0 binary .dmg, the SDK or the source and compile it?

I see that the .dmg installs stuff in /Developer (plus a few things in /usr/local). The compiled source I am guessing does the same as on Linux and puts it in /usr/local/TrollTech. The SDK will go where you put it.

Are there any preferred choices out of these 3 options? Will be using mainly 64 bit cocoa libs if that's relevant.
