QT Installation Problem

I cannot figure out why this wont install.... ive follows the steps in the "Installing QT for windows" configure seems to work fine for me but for some reason when i type nmake.... i get the following error
NMAKE : fatal error U1064: MAKEFILE not found and no target specified
Stop.Any help is greatly appreciated! below is my full commands prompt log for part of what i did...it wouldnt let me post it all since it's to large

You should use "-platform <spec>" option to determine the platform/compiler that you use.
for example: configure -platform win32-msvc2008 -
In line 71 it sais "Perl not found ..."
AFAIK this appears when you have no previous Qt version installed for using the previous version's tools. You would need to install Perl on your machine first. I have seen it some notes in install instructions, but could not find right away.
However, there are already pre-compiled versions available "here":http://qt.nokia.com/downloads . Compiled binaries for MSVC 2010 are readily available.
If you need to have a special setup, you could do this after the first successful installation.
That might give you a start.
