QtCreator 'Peripheral Description File' (SVD) not working

I am setting up QtCreator (11.0.2) for an embedded device. Debugging is working using a 'generic' debug server provider. But when I add 'Peripheral Description File' to the configuration the filename/path is not saved and it does not work either.
I just use the browse button to locate the file. Press apply, the OK, and when I re-open the window the entry for the file is empty. Other entries like port number are saved.
Any suggestion what this may be ?
