Unsolved Error during installation process (qt.tools.qtdesignstudio)
-
I use online installer https://download.qt.io/official_releases/online_installers/qt-unified-mac-x64-online.dmg to install Qt on my new MacBook Pro 2015 with macOS 11.7.6. This is new installation.
The error occurs like below screenshot -
@Th0th Hi,
I think there might be a bug here. I recall seeing that message not long ago but did not need the tool so I ignored it.
-
@Th0th Hi, Unhappy It is seem an "bug". It is a guess. because I received that message, also,
when it was trying install additional components (but now I don't remember if was at moment of to install an embedded or DesignStudio component). Maybe I the installer is trying an directory that it is not "grant" . -
@cod3r the path is wrong in any case, there's no reason for the installer to try to install anything at the root of the disk.
-
Yes, this should be raised as critical issue.
-
You can, check the bug report system to see if there's already something there and if not, create a new ticket.

I get a similar error but i use the CLI for unattented install. For test purposes I only gave the following components to install:
qt.qt6.6210.win64_msvc2019_64
qt.qt6.6210.src
qt.qt6.6210.addons
qt.qt6.6210.debug_infoI don't see any Qt Design Studio listed here, so i dont know why it even tries to install it
