CAN QT creator open remote project?

I installed QT creator4.3.1 in the Windows environment.
the project in Linux virtual machine,
now I want use the QT creator4.3.1 to open&edit the project files, what shoud I do -

now I want use the QT creator4.3.1 to open&edit the project files, what shoud I doexport VM disk as samba share so that it can be accessed under windoze...YMMV.
And hope that creator doesn't use any absolute path references.
but overall, probly a bad idea, and a path to eventually end up with a corrupted project.

Why install a 2017 version of Qt Creator at all?

@Kent-Dorfman Thanks for your suggestion, but that's not really a good idea, too many troublesome steps.It's too difficult for me.

You might install, say, the latest version of Creator instead of one from 2017.the project in Linux virtual machine,
It would be an awful lot simpler to just do the editing/development in the Linux VM, given that is what you already have....
