I just spent over 3 hours in what ended up as failing to build Qt from Git repositories. Looking at the associated thread, I am not the only one. How about occasional Qt5 builds for major platforms so that this utterly annoying inconvenience can be avoided?

After all, the more accessible Qt5, the more users to test it out, the more user feedback, the more bugs identified...

You might have noticed that we have a new infrastructure for hosting Qt: The Qt project. This infrastructure is slowly coming together, the gerrit was there from the start, the bugtracker has already moved to qt-project.org, this site is expected to move to its new home soon.

Unfortunately build infrastructure hosted by the Qt project which can provide nightly builds is not yet done, but people are working on this issue AFAIK.

This is good to know, looking forward to some test builds, meanwhile hopefully there will be some feedback to help me out in the appropriate "thread":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/7018/P45/
