Creator: can "Sign package" option be persistent?

Hi all -

I'm using Creator to build an Android package. In Build & Run --> Build Steps --> Build Android APK, there's an option for signing the built package. This option seems to get reset every time I choose a different kit, and return to my first kit.

Is this by design? It's really inconvenient.
