Grid doesn't expand horizontally

I'm struggling in understand why the second grid doesn't expand horizontally:

I was trying to make the edit fields under email and password to also expand ====>
What its causing it to avoid expanding horizontally?

Click on the centralWidget in the right panel
and for the stretch parameter for the layout, try 1,2 or 1,3

Where are you expecting it to expand to? You have fixed the width of almost everything and given the layouts almost no latitude to adjust.

@ChrisW67 I could reproduce it with fewer widgets:

1. <= grid layout with a push button
2. => grid layout with a stacked widget

When I expand the window only 2 expand, how i can make 1 to also expand?
