I have a pyQT application that I built and drew using QT creator. On my GUI I have grid layouts and within those grid layouts there are text boxes. I then create a usable python application using the command line argument immediately below.

    pyside2-uic form.ui > form.py

This correctly creates the GUI once and then I can copy those files over and it is usable. If I want to go back into QT creator and edit anything though, every single time my grid layouts have changed sized and now my text boxes will be massive. So then I spend 20 minutes resizing everything and so on and so on. It happens every time I open QT creator again.

What is causing this and how can I prevent it?

I am using a QWidget for my overall project and then just grid layouts and within a grid layout I use a text edit.

When does this happen to you? Creator Designer only reads the .ui file, the fact that you generate .py file from it should not affect anything. So you should see the size change just be exiting and re-entering Creator/Designer?

@JonB If I close out of the application entirely it does happen but if I leave it open and just minimize it, it does not happen instantly. But, usually an hour or two later if I go to check it has changed

I have no idea, but I am saying i cannot/should not have anything to do with running the pyside2-uic command.
