How to suggest improvements to the code?
-
How do I suggest changes or improvements to the code for PyQt5? I'm currently making a program and would like to call multiple methods subsequently without making new lines like so:
widget.method1().method2().method3()It's really easy to implement this but I don't know where to suggest this improvement. Anyone have any suggestions?

@Tyson1123 said in How to suggest improvements to the code?:
widget.method1().method2().method3()
This would only work if method1 and method2 return "self".

Hello and welcome. No, it is not "really easy" to implement this. It would require changing the return type of each
QWidgetmethod to return the widget/selfinstance. It is common to "chain" method calls in this way in, say, JavaScript or jQuery, but not at all so in C++ or Python. It is not going to happen in Qt code, we are quite happy with three separate statements for the above, as has always been the case.
