Turn off Qt warning messages on Qt 4.8.6

Hi. I'm trying to turn off the Qt warning messages, specifically for mouse events. This is because I have an embedded application with a touchscreen and I suspect the constant messages on mouse events may be the cause of certain crashes.
According to the documentation, there is a feature on this starting from Qt 5. However, my application involves Qt 4.8.6. Is there a way I can hide the warning messages? I wasn't able to find documentation on this on the official library. Please let me know if more information is required.

You can create your own message handler and filter the messages. See qInstallMsgHandler.
