<![CDATA[QSerialPort: No such file or directory]]>Hi, i want to open serial port in Qt on Ubuntu 18.04 . but i am getting error like the title. How can i install and add the QSerialPort library? please help me

Not a great idea, up to you. You ask whether there is a "ready library" when we now have quoted to you 3 times

Well, 4.8.7 did not have this module. You either have to build it yourself (and find sources that builds against Qt 4) or consider upgrading to at least Qt 5.

What is unclear? It does not matter how many times you ask the same question the answer remains.

@SGaist already said no serial port is supplied with Qt4. He said if you really want to use Qt4 you would have to build it yourself (i.e. from sources, there won't be any apt ... which gets a pre-built binary.

You need first to decide whether you are going to use Qt4 or Qt6 (or even Qt5). You must use the same version on both Windows and Linux.

But other device is ubuntu 18.04 . I downloaded it by typing the following command in the terminal.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools qt4-qtconfig qt4-demos
sudo apt-get install qtcreator
when i download it like this it doesn't offer the option as you show. opens directly.
how can i do?

The Qt 4 series has reached end of life quite a long time ago and should not be used to start new projects.

Which version of Qt are you using ?
How did you install it ?
If from your distribution, did you install the corresponding module's development packages ?
If from the online installer, I would guess that you installed a Qt 6 version that is smaller that 6.2 where the module was added back. So if that is the case, please update to a more recent version.
