<p dir="auto">I run automatic update every day and this solutions is still suggesting to update.</p>
<p dir="auto">I have never investigated the need for "clang"....,</p>
<p dir="auto">To be clear - do I really need it ?<br />
It  (seems to)  takes  forever when "clang  is indexing" - whatever that means...</p>
<p dir="auto">:-1: warning: "/usr/bin/gcc" is used by qmake, but "/home/q5/Qt/Tools/QtCreator/libexec/qtcreator/clang/bin/clang" is configured in the kit.<br />
Please update your kit (Desktop Qt 6.3.1 GCC 64bit) or choose a mkspec for qmake that matches your target environment better.</p>

I have been told too many times (!) not to mix "kits" .<br />
My entire project, consisting of many subprojects, it now  compiles and runs just fine when I select QT 5.<br />
( whatever the latest version 5 is - I do not care to keep track as long as it works )</p>
<p dir="auto">I'll make a backup and try to compile using 6.</p>

(This is mostly to ensure that Qt Creator's code model and your actual build use the same compiler as a base line for parsing the code.)</p>
