    Hi,

I want to display a Text but in vertical orientation. I do not see any property in the Text element to do it.

Do i need to rotate the Text element explicitly to achieve the same?

    Thanks
    Ronak

Edit: moved to Quick forum as it seems to be about QML; Andre

I got one solution (via rotation) -
      @ rotation: -90@

Is this the most optimized way to achieve this target ?

You might also want to go through "-this-":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/faq/answer/how_can_i_draw_vertical_text

EDIT : not related to QML

          Hi,

The quote in the given link makes sense, but how do i consume this from my QML (sorry if this is a silly question, but i am not aware of integrating between C++ and QML).

          Thanks
          Ronak

I am sorry. I dont know how to do it. But as far as i know, there is no vertical text alignment , by default. Not sure.

But i found one "article to rotate text":http://kerncomputing.blogspot.com/2010/10/qt-quick-using-qml-to-rotate-text.html. May be useful to you.
