I have just built and installed Qt 5.15.5 from source and would like to upgrade my Qt Creator version to the latest which is compatible with Ubuntu 18.04. Unfortunately, the latest version offered on the Qt website (7.0-something) requires a newer Glibc version than I am able to support.

The source packages also seem to be for the latest version. Cannot find a link to anything else except on the Git site, and I cannot make sense of the different packages there.

    Thanks for any help.

(EDIT: This is for opensource development, BTW).

In the meantime, I was able to download Qt Creator 5.0.3 which was built with 5.15.2, so this seems to work. I used the online installer.

However, there doesn't appear to be any online help available for Qt classes and functions when I hover over QString::split(), for example, and press F1. Does this have to be installed separately? In the earlier version I used with Qt 5.12.9, it was already there.

My bad ... I forgot to make docs and make install_docs. Looks like this will take awhile, but it seems to be OK.
