    Hi all,

I am trying to add a transparent pixmap layer to the icon on my tool button, is there any easiest way of doing this,. for example, when the button is disabled it gets greyed out,. so similarly when the button is active I need to add a yellowish layer on the button to highlight it,. ... since I have too many buttons i am reluctant to have another set of icons,. is it possible to do with the same set of icons and adding a pixmap layer to it,..

You can do the composition in code using QPainters composition methods, but you will need to generate the images for each of the modes this way and set them on QIcon manually from code. QIcon itself cannot automatically create composites like this.
