Dual Display artifact after closing Qt App

I have noticed that I get a weird graying effect after splitting my screen to have a browser in one window and my Qt App in another. When I close out my app a transparent gray screen appears and never leaves the desktop until I reboot my phone. This is bordering on making me nuts as it has been going on for some time now.;
