[Solved] problems installing Qt on Windows
I attempted to download and install Qt on Windows (Vista). It appeared to complete the download but failed 72% through installation. I aborted the installation. Obviously I don't have a proper installation. I'd like tode-install and try again, how can I do this? Qt doesn't show up in the normal list of installed programs.
If you use Qt sdk Online installer, i know there is some problem. You have to try to offline installer.
thanks for the reponse. How's the off-line installer going to behave with a partial installation already in place?
I seem to be having trouble with the off-line installer. It just keeps telling me
"Qt SDK for Open Source C++ development on Windows - Offline Installer
If download doesn't start automatically, click: http://www.developer.nokia.com/dp?uri=http://sw.nokia.com/id/428e0ef9-1cb7-49cf-8ab5-0723f923e70d/Qt_SDK_Win_offline "
Which simply brings up the same page again...
Strange, for me this links work. What browser are you using?
Explorer 9. Which may be the root of the problem. It asks if I want to run or save, but no matter what I respond it continues to ask the question.I'll try logging out and back in to the Qt site.
Try Firefox or Chrome
Might have been a bit tired last night. Things seem to be being better behaved today. Currently installing the "off-line" version.
If you gonna install harmattan stuff, some steps take around 10-15 minutes to complete. So, be patient :D
It appears to have hung in the same place. I'm going to give it quite a while this time!
Installing component USB Network Driver
its been there at least 10 minutes
You are launching the installer as Administrator?
If your computer have low specs, just be patient ^ ^
Ah, no not as admin. Bad idea that?
My PC's spec is probaly a bit low
T6400 2GHz 3GB
gives a 3.5 "Windows Experience" mainlylimited by graphics performance
So be patient, the checksum comprobation take a lot of time on big files, like harmattan image (800mb) and other stuff
reboot, run installation as Admin it's installed
Nice work, remember to change the topic of post to (SOLVED) :D
